It's a beautiful mess of tragedy as innocence is introduced to the harsh human world. ![]() Complicating matters is the sudden reappearance of Carl Thorne, ex-husband of the woman who's DNA was used to create Orchid. Lex Luthor, played as a cool-headed, but demonstrative businessman, gains interest in obtaining Black Orchid as a potentially profitable specimen. Uncertain of who or what she is, the Black Orchid must quickly come to grips with a world rife with corruption. The first Black Orchid meets an unfortunate end in the first few pages, but at the instant of death, her sister, another flower girl, is born.
